Just a cool recap of Straitline’s Andi Wittmann shredding the course with Sorge in the Alps.
Someone nagged me for that ages ago.. to let it be known what the athletes ride from us: Andi rocks our Silent Guide for all the keeners out there.

“After an amazingly exciting wet and wild qualifying at Champery, here’s how the riders line up for tomorrows finals.”

Stu Thomson of Team Mtbcut also covers all that happens at the race and I am stoked for Ben tomorrow, he’s been on fire and his mind is in the right place for a win!
Qualifying was nasty wet, take a peek.
So I believe free caster will be playing this live while I sleep and drool in bed tonight but if you can keep an eye on it and root for Team Mtbcut!
Super stoked to hit the road in the Horny Marmot mobile! Camp of Champions and Straitline are off to Sea Otter for some chaos in a 25 passenger bus!
It’s funny because we are all frantically trying to figure out vehicles, who can take who and how many bikes can go in what vehicle. Then it dawned on me and I asked Ken about the camp busses! We both pulled a full on retard moment forgetting about the Vans. It’s like booking a flight when you own a plane, pretty funny how dumb you get when you rush.
So Ken is driving from Whistler as we speak to get the Van insured and ready and we are off!!
Gareth Dyer is coming and we will pick up Eric Peterson of Faultline so that we can make a lame ass video on the trip. I think we are going to hit up the Post Office Jam right after the Otter so it should be fun!

Be sure to swing by booth 373 I will be there on crutches or sitting on my bike talking to people about the Chain Guide and meeting media. First time attending the show so more of a recon than anything else, being on crutches sucks too.
Oh she’s nice, come by Camp of Champions booth and check out this years demo rigs dressed in our gear.
These shots just came in from my home turf Kelowna BC, and that wall of dirt/ rock is where I learnt my first spin tricks! I used to look so cool on my Rocky Mountain Hammer race (97) bar ends and all and bust a 180 stall on the edge and re enter into a massive cool kid skid out!
KNOX mountain is the riding grounds for everyone until the snow recedes, it is fast and fun as hell.
Check out Keith’s new ride built up at Sun country Cycle in Vernon, BC!
Picture speaks a thousand words…
Now Watch Romaniuk rip Knox a new one at 20 seconds in.. beginning is in the states.
Oh, I like bling and this is a blinged out MKII from Banshee Bikes.
We were asked to dress the bike with our new Silent guide pedals and 50mm boXXer stem, here is what Rob had to say.
--------------
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past couple of months you have seen pictures of the Banshee Legend MKII. The first time I saw pictures of the Legend MKII I thought it looked pretty much like every other race bike out there. After seeing it in person a month ago I started lusting over the thought of getting one. In the span of a work day my lust turned into love and then heart break.
Today my task was to build the Legend MKII show bike. When I showed up at the factory there was a medium Legend in the Team Red color scheme waiting for me. After raiding Jay’s office and desk I had the parts ready to start building.
Usually after building up a bike, even if it is a friend's or customers I will take it for a little spin to make sure everything is good to go. This is first bike that I did not go for my ceremonial ride ... and that is when my heart was broken.
We would like to thank Cane Creek, Manitou, Hayes, Straitline, WTB, Race Face, Funn and Crank Brothers for helping out with this special build project. I'm not much for reading, so check out the pictures ...
The pictures are not the greatest, I did not have much time to take pictures, we had to prep the bike for the show tomorrow.
Keep riding.

The goods needed to make any build pop out from the rest!
We do offer back up color sliders and we sent the stock green by mistake for this build but looks fast regardless.
We have Just Released the Silent Guide in to the Market and Most went to the states and Europe and I think 6 in all were slipped out to Calgary where Gary snagged and installed the first Guide as a client!!
So he was like this kid finding out he did the first install!
And he also had a smart questions to ask about the guide too.
Question:
“Quick question on your silent guide. I just picked one up and installed it on my Knolly v-tach last night. Everything went super smooth and I’m very impressed with the guide, now I’m waiting for my second one to show up for my wife’s bike. Coming from a moto background I can appreciate the design.
Just wondering if there are any concerns with types of chain lube and their affect on the poly sliders? Some plastics don’t appreciate my favourite prolink gold lube.
Also rocking your pedals and loving them! Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Gary “
Answer:
The Polyurethane Sliders are resilient to oil with a chemical resistance measured in years where sometimes with plastics the resistance is measured in hours. So many variables in play depending on the plastic types and the solvents used but Polyurethane is a safe bet.
Good and Valid question, Enjoy the Guide in Costa Rica, send pictures Gary and I will blog them again!
We are very very proud to finally say that they are ready!
The guides are basically motorcross inspired and utilize Polyurethane sliders for the chain. Our sliders are made out of durable polyurethane and allow the chain to run on its own rollers making it a smooth quite no fuss ride!
MSRP $140
No Lexan or plastic bits… only 7075 series aluminum for hard hits!
No Moving parts! All hardware and spacers supplied weighing in at 205 grams for the 36-40th version and 176 for the 32-36th version.
LIGHT!
The guide comes stock Kawasaki Racing Green with optional back up sliders for color matching but to be honest the green is in your face and it has yet to look bad on any bike we dressed it with.
I am so late posting about Eurobike and most people have done a better job exposing what's new and all that. The boys over at Sicklines.com have compiled a great list of coverage. Just go there and save me the trouble !! SICKLINES COMPLILATION
All I have is this… a picture of me hoisting up our Spanish distributor Luis while Dennis insults him! It is a fun show, really all about building relation ships.
I find it boring really going over the same old stuff, but we did drop our new silent chain guide device that was very well received. Weight/ price and the fact that it is silent and actually works was all people needed to know stoked to release it next month to the masses. Below is showing the Kawasaki racing green sliders but we plan to make 4 color options but keep the bash and boomerang matt black.
32th –36th and only 176 grams gets you a complete guide 32th -36th including the bash guard that is made out of 7000 aluminum and 205 grams for the 36-40 th version.
By far the coolest highlight of the show was being contacted by the German division of Playboy for a web segment in their magazine, who says no to that?
Take a look here for the promo video – PLAYBOY GERMANY It will play automatically and please go to full page for better screening. 18 plus!
Not even joking… click here to see the video PLAYBOY GERMANY / STRAITLINE
