Grommits everywhere!

 

After hosting the Jumpship festival in our back yard a few weeks back, word has gotten out that Mike Montgomery left on of his signature custom AMPS in the office.

Mike was so engorged with his Dairy Queen he forgot to take his AMP with him, and he left his garbage on my desk too.

Now kids keep riding by on their way to the local Freeride park (we helped build) around the corner. By the droves they ride through the parking lot to ask for stickers then they quickly ask to hold the frame behind my desk.

These two are beyond stoked now that they know this bike may be built up and given away at Krankworxs with Straitline and all of Mikes sponsors onboard.

Odds of winning? 1:? or a brick through my window.

What is easy is watching and critiquing, huge difference when you are the one slinging your leg over the bike with all the pressure. Best web series going, no music nothing besides what it is.

I finally figured out how to set my post dates… I am amazed at how Dumb I am at blogging sometimes…

While you reading this I am on a deck, up in Whistler, beer in hand… watching the Slopestyle quali unfold right in front of us. I’’ll be with Lenosky and friends and those ever annoying Giant guys on the balcony to our right. So excuse me for pre-writing all this out but it’s not like I would be the news breaker on who won what anyways, you can scour the hot spots for it all. I will be super stoked if Straitlines very own Casey Groves and Jack Folgelquist do well though. I’d actually shit my pants if they podium’d, so cheers to that!

At first, he started the hype in the crowd with a triple no footed can. That's right, a can to the right, then the left, then to the right again. It was definitely a next level piece of foot work. Big Brad "The Man" had $2000 worth of $50 bills in his hand courtesy of Volkswagen that he was tossing out to any rider who he felt deserved it. He, without question, tossed a bill Casey's way along with some taunting words pushing him to put another can into it. Casey's a really skilled rider and agreed with a huge grin to Brad's pushes. On his next run he pulled the quad no footed can. Or the double pendulum if you want to call it that. Either way it was nuts, and got him $3000 in his pocket, and his first cash prize in his life. "

Just so stoked for Casey, it was two years ago almost when we started when we floated him a single gold lever for dirt jumping on now he has come out of no where and stood his ground against the best in the world at age 16!

And shocker...Casey landed POD again today!
